First Aid Classes for Children

Join us for a summer holiday early years class to help teach your little one all about first aid and what to do in an emergency. Ideal for children aged 3-6 years. They can even bring their favourite toy along to use as a casualty for extra fun. We'll be talking about getting help safely in an emergency, calling 999, minor cuts/grazes, small head bumps, what to expect if you get hurt and what to do if your adult becomes unwell. We'll finish with our award winning Mini Adventures of Freddie story. Includes a certificate, workbook and stickers for each child. We will be using plasters during the class to please advise us of any allergies. You will need to remain with your child during the class. Free on site parking is available at this venue. We can safely resume in person classes and continue to follow sensible measures around hygiene and infection control. Should further restrictions be put in place around Covid 19 we will follow the government guidelines at the time of your class. If we are unable to run a session due to restrictions you will be offered a virtual class or a future in person date of your choice,. Unfortunately we have a no refund policy.

Mini First Aid Teens supports young people to learn how to deal with an emergency with no adult present. It is ideal for young people aged 11+ years. It covers getting help safely in an emergency, assessing a casualty, the recovery position, CPR, AEDs, choking, head injuries, breaks/fractures, bleeding/wounds, shock, fainting, burns, asthma, allergies and anaphylaxis. Our early years class is suitable for children aged 3-6 years old. Children will have the opportunity to meet one of our accident-prone Mini First Aid bears who needs some minor first aid and help calling 999. They will also meet brave little Freddie who knows just what to do in an emergency including how to call for help when mummy is poorly. Each child will receive a certificate, sticker and workbook. Did you know that 50% of mental health issues start by the age of 14? We love teaching kids about first aid but we know that keeping a healthy mind is important to. Our healthy minds summer session will take place over 2 afternoons on Thurs 18th and Fri 19th August. Children will attend both sessions. It is ideal for children aged 7-11 years.
